We believe yoga is for everybody. We strive to create a welcoming, relaxed, open, and professional environment where every student feels comfortable. Our team is very approachable and available to answer any questions you may have about your practice. Don’t be shy.

Is it okay if I’ve never done yoga before?

Yes, absolutely! ‘Keep It Mellow’ and ‘Yin’ classes, are a great starting point for beginners. Please let the teacher know you are new to yoga and always practice at your own pace.

What is the Ajachi Yoga online class etiquette?

  • Check-in with the teacher before all classes.

  • Install Google Meet to join the class in case you are using a mobile device or tablet.

  • Check the Google Meet link five minutes before the class to make sure it is not broken. For any issues contact the teacher.

  • Place the device camera at least five feet far for the best view.

  • It is always advised to use a yoga mat.

  • Please observe silence while in the online meeting and be on mute in the group class unless you have a question or discomfort.

  • Please place your phone on silent upon entering the studio. Strictly no phones to be used during the yoga practice.

  • Please commit to staying in the online room for the entire class. If you need a break you take Child’s Pose or just lie down and chill.

  • Listen carefully to the teacher’s instructions and follow them.

What is the Ajachi Yoga studio etiquette?

What do I need to know to prepare for my class?

  • Refrain from eating one to two hours before the class starts.

  • Wear comfortable clothes.

  • As part of our COVID-safe plan, we ask that for now you BYO any additional yoga props that you would like to use including bolsters, blocks, straps, and blankets. We look forward to providing these for complimentary use in the studio again soon.

  • It’s likely that you’ll perspire during class so please BYO a towel.

  • Bring a water bottle, we don’t sell bottled water but have filtered water available.

  • We have a bathroom but change room facilities and showers are not available.

  • Please bring a good vibe.

How often should I practice getting the best results?

Two or three classes per week is a great starting point when you’re new to yoga. Many people jump right in and enjoy a daily practice. If possible, we suggest mixing up the styles such as ‘Vinyasa Flow’ one day and ‘Keep It Mellow’ the next. We also recommend at least one day off from a Vinyasa practice per week so that your body can recuperate. ‘Yin’ is perfect on your off day.

What if I have an injury or feel unwell?

If you have an injury, please get the all-clear from your doctor before attending our classes. Make the teacher aware of all injuries before the class. Listen to what your body is telling you and move accordingly.

Please do not practice if you have a cold or flu as you risk more harm to yourself as well as others around you. Stay home and take a rest. We reserve the right to refuse entry to class if you present unwell. Don’t forget to cancel any class bookings.

I’m pregnant is it safe to practice?

Yes, of course! Although Ajachi Yoga does not provide any classes for expecting women yet. Congratulations to you though! We are sending you good vibes.

What is your late cancel and no-show policy?

If you need to cancel, this can be done via the Ajachi Yoga website or by informing the teacher directly. Cancellations will not be accepted via, email or social media.

If you’ve booked using a ‘Drop In’, or multi-class pass any no-shows or absences will result in forfeiting that class. If you cancel your booking within 12 hours of the class start time your class will be allowed to reschedule the class.

If you’re on an unlimited pass or 4 and 8 class pass and don’t attend a booked session your class will be forfeited. Please read our terms and conditions for more.

CONSCIOUS EMPLOYER

A little bit about you...

If you find yourself here, you are a conscious local business with a zeal to promote a sustainable lifestyle reflected not only in the products you make but also in the way you manage your employees, the local artisans, aiming to help them benefit from yoga and mindfulness. You believe in sustainability for mother earth and our mantra, which makes it possible— healing you, through you.

You may be in the capacity to reach out and guide young minds in need of mentorship. In tune with our goal, we believe in initiating the difference we intend to make through children with great potential that are otherwise deprived of the opportunity to tap into themselves and find acceptance and gratitude. You believe and acknowledge that while life gives you no shortcuts to alter or refine every trouble that comes your way, your perspective and strength can give you the courage to manage these troubles positively.

We only need you to believe; that the perspective and strength will be nurtured by us in every person whom we connect with through this initiative.

OUR

MOTIVATION

A little bit about us...

Our motivation flows from a thought— ‘You cannot pour from an empty vessel, take care of yourself first.’

Whatever your contribution is, whether, to your work or your family, it has to flow from a place of calm and serenity to be effectual which is possible only if you are at peace with your mind and heart. All discourse about peace of mind is unfortunately accessible only to the privileged.

Therapy, yoga, mindfulness, and all other attempts at finding your mental bliss somehow remain inaccessible to the daily wage earners, the artisan who made your favorite piece of art, or the child you saw playing at the construction site outside your house. Those are the people who drive us to do what we do and to do it with utmost faith.
